Ferrera's artistic vision is absent, and Zamalek is heading towards collapse
Walid Salah Abdel Latif, the former Zamalek player, commented on Al-Abyad’s loss against Esperance Sportive de Tunis, yesterday, Saturday, in the African Champions League.
Zamalek achieved a double defeat against Esperance, at Hammadi Al-Aqrabi Stadium in Paradise, in the third round of the group stage of the continental championship.
Abdel Latif said in statements to the “+90” program on “Al-Nahar” channel: “The Zamalek team is heading towards collapse, and what is happening has become a normal matter, given what the White Castle is going through and what is happening is normal. The defeat against Esperance de Tunis, which made things difficult.”
He continued, "The changes that Josevaldo Ferreira, the team's coach, is making are not at the technical level and do not add to the matches."
He added, “The situation is not good in the team, and the technical outlook on the part of the Portuguese coach is absent, but in any case, Zamalek has a chance, but it is difficult and may be impossible.”
Regarding the four-way youth team’s defeat against Senegal in the U-20 African Cup of Nations and their early exit from the tournament, he said: “What is happening is a warning bell for the Olympic team and the first Egyptian team, and we must control matters in the next stage.”
